Prelims over, 'O' Levels just ahead.

Zz finally prelims over. Well, score was satsifactory, but hate the fact that a B4 for my English will make my whole report book look bad. Believe that the most improved is my A Maths, as I had scored 40+ 2008 mid year, 60+ 2008 end of year, 70+ 2009 mid year and subsequently 86 for this time.

Results: 2 B4 6 A1

Need to study more to maintain and improve those grades for the upcoming O levels

Well, putting that aside. Just watched a few anime series which I believe is worth mentioning.

1. ~Ef~ A Tale of Memories/Melodies
2. Bakemonogatari
3. Needless
4. Phantom ~Reqium of the Phantom~

Zzz

Had no motivation to continue my blog the past month. Got this opportunity to blog only when I felt like it after so long. Well, a few points of interest are the Fate/Stay Night UBW movie entitled Jan 2010(next year) :'( , and hopefully the visual novel Rewrite will come too by then. Been lazing around for the past month slacking.

Visual Novels

Quite a long time since I came in contact with visual novels. It appeals to me greatly when I was first noticed it while browsing through the origins of some anime. Visual novels are the roots of several animes, such as School Days and Clannad.

I started out Clannad as my initial visual novel, and got indulged in it. Since then, I've completed a list of visual novels, and am still trying to find more.
However, the majority of people might find it boring as it includes hours of mouse clicking and viewing the linear 2D pictures.

Recently completed Katawa Shoujo and Ever17. I strongly recommend both of the visual novels as they are worthy to mention.

Katawa Shoujo is about a teenage boy who has a heart disease and got transferred to a school for disabled people. This visual novel conveys how everyone is trying hard to live their lifes even though they are disabled, and greatly touches my heart.

Ever17 is about a group of people getting trapped in an underwater theme park LeMU.
It has one of the most complicated plot I've ever played before and it requires a lot of self thinking and analysis to perceive the situation. It also drives us to conceive several topics such as the Cloning Law, the 4th dimension and the Lost Continent Lemuria.

List of visual novels completed

1. Clannad
2. Fate/Stay Night
3. Tsukihime
4. Utawarenomono
5. Fate/Hollow Ataraxia
6. Kagetsu Tohya
7. Planetarian
8. Chaos;Head
9. Tears To Tiara
10. Katawa Shoujo
11. Ever17

Holiday Over

The holidays are finally over and this week is the start of school. Too bad our school didn't close down due to H1N1 outbreak. Well, I've done several things mentionable during the holidays. Completed 2 visual novels, namely Katawa Shoujo and Ever17. And finally had my long awaited Clannad Kyou OVA ;)

Wish that I'll be less lazy and start posting again.

So much homework and I do not have the motivation to complete them.. May be due to my irregular sleeping habits that caused me to have no mood to attempt that mountain pile of homework though. Would try to sleep early today and fix the optimum settings to do homework tomorrow.

Back in Action

Lolz, due to my recent Mid Year Examinations and my laziness, I neglected about posting, and even almost forgot about the existence of this blog =.= . Anyway, for my results. I've got a horrifying B4, which is my English, followed by my E Maths which dropped to a miserable B3. Haha, can't help but to worry how my 'O' Level results will turn out since I've seen my performance for Mid-Year.

I've just recently completed another visual novel called 'Tears to Tiara'. It was made by Leaf company and it had quite an interesting turn of events and quotes from it, unexpected from a typical RPG game though. The anime was the reason that stimulated me and got me hooked on it in the first place.

My favourite quote from the game was 'Arthur, if you ever came back, I will continue to walk the road of kings with you again.' - By Arawn AKA Lucifer

Here's a song of the day then.

Concentration, Accuracy, Precision

Today was a forgetful day for me >.< . 1 day of MC and I messed up my usual schedule. Forgotten to do my homework too. Well, got to last till Thursday, which is the School's Sports Day, and following Good Friday which I don't have school ;D . However, we received 9 english newspaper article as the trade off. Equivalent Exchange, it seems. Have to sacrifice the same value to gain something. Let me comment about today's topic 'Concentration, Accuracy, Precision' . Those are 3 key values you need in archery. However, I believe it's the same for life too.

In order to achieve your expected results, we must focus on the target and imagine that our 'arrow' is able to reach the target. That is concentration, which symbolises your will and your determination, basically your mind.

Next, we must perform the necessary tasks before the 'arrow' can successfully hit the target. Even archery requires the correct positioning of your feet, a good stance to pull the bow and the strength required to pull the string and fire the arrow. Likewise, you can't just sit down there and expect the 'arrow' to hit the target. Therefore, whenever we feel like achieving something, we cannot just relax and hope that the event does actually happen through miracles, and must strive hard towards it. That is accuracy, which represents the body.

Lastly is precision. After the 'arrow' hits the target, that's not the end of the game yet! One bullseye arrow does not determine the outcome of the whole match! You must be able to maintain that standard of peformance, and not to loosen your concentration and your accuracy. In life, after you have achieved your target, woah, don't go all the way excited and start your extravagant behavoirs. Instead, you should think of solutions to keep your performance, if better, improve on it! In my opinion, I believe this is the most unmanageable point that many people cannot achieve, as they are bewildered by their one chance success. It involves the constant management of both concentration and accuracy to achieve this stage, and it makes up your heart, the indispensable vital organ every human being requires.

Haha, very long isn't it, that's just my perspective, by applying an analogy to the reason of success in life.

To top the Day off, here's a Song of the Day !

Back in Action

Had been too lazy for blogging recently. The conviction of having a blog is still not firm enough I guess. Well, not much interesting things happening these days. That's how a typical school student life should be, I think; Going to school, listening in lessons, talking with classmates, and going back home. Well, I did have a small little item of interest that I would wish to bring up. That is, Pandora Hearts having an anime ;D. The first episode is already out in raw, hope that some fan-subbers would take up the series. I'm a huge fan of the manga, and especially of Alice's. Pandora Hearts has a great resemblance towards Alice in Wonderland, which is an unique feature in my view.

Here are some pictures of Pandora Hearts.

2 more days till School Reopening. Been busy this few days rushing my homework, and it's still not completed >.< . I've had almost completed Fate Hollow Ataraxia. Liked the part during the swimming pool and at Einzbern's castle. Now, I wonder if Little Busters! is a good selection, as it's one of KEY's work as well. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable, since I couldn't get my hands on the PS2 version T.T . Hope the graphics don't degrade too much.. it's available on June.(Long long way to go) Finally gonna step down soon in CCA, but this will result in more remedials at the same time. Well, gotta choose someone to take over the CCA, but currently still wondering who to select. That guy or girl might be the unlucky one among the bunch xD.

Finally scored some free time after so many CAs. Well, next week I've still have 3 more of them to go. So much work, so little time. Now what shall I write today.. Hmm.. Nothing major happening as usual. Recently laid my hands on Fate/Hollow Ataraxia though, currently indulging in it whenever I'm free. Next week is the start of the March Holidays, although, I'm certain that we will be fully booked from the start to the end. Really, I'm positive about it. Our CCA's March Camp is drawing near too. Still have to plan for it and organise an acceptable camp for the juniors and for the teacher. What a drag.

Well, Let's move on to the fun section of the day. No use grouching about the unpleasant things anyway. My highlight for a particular anime series is Clannad. Sounds like the anime only has 3 more episodes to go. Well, nothing has changed. First, Nagisa dies. Second, Ushio dies. One of those touching moments, as expected of KEY. I hope they would do a Kyou Arc for the remaining 2 episodes though. Since they gave Tomoyo a chance, why not Kyou? >.< . But the chances are relatively low, and they would most probably do a Tomoyo After Arc. Man, more sadness coming up. Chrome Shelled Regios is gradually becoming more boring as the series goes by. Well, the sitmuli of the anime was the special ending showed in episode 2, after Layfon defeated the whole team with his immense strong power. (That is Over 9000 !! Lol. Just jk) I felt that the way the episode ended was quite entrancing. Wish that the anime wouldn't let me down in the end ><. Well, enough of me typing. Here are some pictures taken from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, and a song of the day ;)

Sour Sweet 'Sundae'

Another weekend passed. Next week gotta go to school again. What a drag +.+ . Finally caught up to the latest episode of Soul Eater though. Although my favourite day of the week is Friday, while my least favourite is Monday, I'm neutral against Sunday. Sunday is considered weekend , +1 . Next day got school , -1 . So a +1 and a -1 makes a 0 . Nothing has changed.

Since I'm not in the mood to post any songs or videos, I'll just post this quote for now.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet". Romeo and Juliet ( Quote Act II, Sc. II).

Witty Wednesday

Finally cleared most of my homework, Yay ! ;D . With this I could most probably relax on thursday and friday. Got back my Geo CA Paper too. Luckily, it saved my marks from being in the cellar.

Hmm, since I do not have much things on today, I will be writing longer this time round. Today, I will be discussing the different video players hosted by websites. Veoh is one of my favourite players, as it not only has high quality videos, they are easily accessible too. On contrast to that, my least favourite player is MegaVideo. In my opinion, MegaVideo requires you to pay for premium membership after watching for a certain period of time. This causes great pain for me when I plan to do some anime watching marathon and found out that actually all the videos are hosted by MegaVideo. Well, that's it for today. Hope that I could discuss more things some time later (which is a faint wish for teachers to give less homework).

Here's a song of the day. One of my favourite opening from Katekyo Hitman Reborn.

Tempting Tuesday

Was so busy until forgotten to update my blog 3 times in a row. Just completed my homework and is looking forward to watching anime now. The episodes I'm watching later are Chrome Shelled Regios ep 6, Maria Holic ep 7 and Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou ep 7. I'm currently watching Soul Eater too. Might try Kurokami if I have the time .. Took a quick browse at the manga and it wasn't very appealing to me. Been looking forward to every tuesday as it's the time when the subs for CSR are released.

Here's a song of the day from Lovedol ~Lovely Idol~

Friday - My Favourite Day

Just barely made through my SS Test >< . Quite an amount of homework was given to us. There goes my weekend. Well, for the anime episodes that I've watched today are Toradora! Episode 19 and The Tower Of Druaga, The Sword Of Uruk Episode 6. However, my most anticipated anime of 2009 is still Chrome Shelled Regios. Love how Layfon hides his true potential ;)

The CANAAN anime that is scheduled for this year might also be interesting, as it's illustrated by one of the TYPE-MOON staffs.

Here's a short trailer of it.

Notice how the characters look alike to Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime.
The song is also similar to the Opening Song 'F.D.D' for Chaos;Head .

It feels so close to me, yet I can't reach it even if I hold out my hands. But even if I can't reach it, there are things that will stay in my heart. POA today, Bio tommorow

I have had a POA test today. The test was fairly easy and I was relaxing my way through. However, I doubt I could do that for tomorrow's Biology test. Had to memorize from 3 chapters >< . Getting back our SS/GY paper tomorrow too. Hope I don't score too low, as many of the students seem to get a single digit, as said by our teacher-in-charge. Coming back to what I've watched today. Bleach episode 206 , Birdy Mighty Decode:02 episode 4, and White Album.

Here's a song of the day.

Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit, and yesterday a deer, and today, you -Kotomi, Clannad

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Just done my homework and revised for my test. I have had no idea what was going on during my biology practical assessment though. Guess i am all talks and no action .. =P
Even though I like practicals as much as theories, but I always somehow goofed out somewhere during the experiment, without fail xD

Well, for today. There weren't any newly subbed anime episodes that caught my attention.
Guess I've had to wait till tommorow.

Here's a nice short video for you. Those who had watched Shakugan no Shana & To Aru Majutsu No Index would find this very hilarious for their anime parodies.

Bored .. Decided to start a blog

This is my first time writing a blog post. I've always seen my friends and classmates exchanging blog addresses and updating their blog posts, and they were so enthusiastic in it. Hence, I decided to try and manage one to see how it feels like to have a blog. Well, for the time being, would try to update my blog as frequently as possible .. I hope ;P
